July Favorites 2018

The month of August is here! It is getting closer and closer to the summer now, and I can’t wait (in Australia, of course). Anyway, today I am here to share with you my July favorites. I have been exploring and testing out new products, in the past months and I have found some great new stuff! Of course, I had to share it with you guys.

So, the first product is this Etude House Any Cushion with SPF33. I feel like this is a combination between a BB Cream and powder. As you may already know, I don’t usually wear foundation on a daily basis, so BB cream is always my option.  I have been using this a lot lately for a few reasons. First of all, it feels so light on my skin but at the same time, it gives me enough coverage. Secondly, because of the combination formula of a BB cream, SPF, and powder, it really makes getting ready in the morning a whole lot quicker while, still looking good and fresh. It is pretty compact as well, which is great to just toss it in my purse for some touch-ups during the day. Also, the packaging is super adorable as well, with the multi-rainbow color foil on top and the pink package.

Speaking of BB cream, I’ve also tested and loved this Garnier SkinActive BB cream. I’ve been switching between this Garnier and the Etude house Any Cushion throughout my week for the past month.  The Garnier SkinActive BB cream gives my skin more dewy, fresh look. I’m in the shade Medium and it is the EXACT matches to my skin tone, which is so rare to find in a foundation shade. It could go both ways, if I would want to enhance my skin tone for a brighter look, I would reach out for my Etude House Any Cushion, however, if I’m going for a ‘natural dewy glow’ – this is the BB cream that I would use. The only thing that bothers me a bit is because of the dewiness of the product which, made it so easy to be transferable onto my white top and it might not last as well during a hot day, so I need to make sure to pat down specific area on my skin that I know will get oily throughout the day, to assure that it will last all day. Other than that, I absolutely love the natural glow that it gives to my skin.

This is something that has been around for ages but, I don’t know what took me so long to try it. I’m sure you have all heard of the Maybeline BabyLips lip balm, I have them in the color, Cherry Kiss, and Berry Rush. The Cherry Kiss is a more tangerine tint while the Berry Rush has a more pink and reddish tone. I love them both equally, depending on my mood. I’m obsessed with these, especially now that it is winter here, so the weather makes it really drying for my lips. This is a perfect combination to keep my lips moisturized while giving it a really nice natural color. THE PERFECT COMBO! I’m so in love with these, and I don’t think I have ever left the house without one of them ever since I got them.

Continuing with the whole makeup theme, I’ve never used a setting spray before, but I recently got this NYX dewy setting spray. Because, I’ve been wearing the dewy makeup look daily, so it’s only appropriate for me to get the dewy setting spray to keep my makeup last all day.

Now moving on from makeup, I’ve tried using the Garnier Fructis Nourishing Banana Hair Food. I think I have mentioned this on one of my YouTube videos, but I have been obsessed with using natural based products for the past months or so, (from hair products, skin care, makeup and so on). So, anything that is based on natural ingredients always got me hooked. This could be used as a conditioner, hair mask and leave in, which is great to have products that could be used for multi usage. The ingredients inside this product are 98% natural ingredients with a list of great natural stuff (like coconut oil, rosehip oil, olive oil, banana, etc.). There are tons of options for different hair type but, I’m using this one in the banana for dry hair which, is perfect for my hair condition since, I have been trying to grow out my hair, so it is great for my hair condition at the moment.

The next product that I have been loving for this month is The Body Shop body butter in grapefruit. My skin has been very dry from the cold weather so, I have been using this daily to keep my skin hydrated. It smells like a delicious grapefruit too, ahaha. I think that was the main reason that I decided to get this because the moment I open the lid a whiff of delicious creamy grapefruit scent fills the air.

Something that I have been adding to my skincare routine for a long time now, is sheet mask. I have been using a bunch of sheet masks, but I just thought I would mention this one since I have been using this recently. This ‘We Bare Bears’ eye mask is just the cutest~~ there were three different options for the bear but, I chose Ice Bear because he is my favorite, hehe. Also, I have been testing out different sheet masks from Innisfree as well, after they have recently opened up a store in Melbourne. So, I have just been grabbing and testing them out a lot.

Finally, the last product is this candle that I got from Cotton On. It is a mixture of blueberry hibiscus tea scented soy wax candle. I’ve been lighting this candle every single day for the past week, I really love the scent! Also, on top of that, the packaging is really cute as well with the gold polka dot on the box which, I could not afford to throw it away so, I used it as a part of my room décor as well (if you’ve read my studio apartment décor post, you might already see this).

Alright, that concludes my July favorites. If you have made it through until here, I love you and thank you so much for reading through until the end.

Let me know your current favorites in the comment down below!

Lots of love,

Kim Stacey
