I’m sure we all agree that weekends are the best time of the week. It’s when you get to take a break from school or work, whether it was a fun week or a stressful week; it’s always nice to reward yourself with some exciting things. I would always try my best to finish all my assignments, projects, essays by Friday night. So, that I could take the whole weekends off. I would usually spend it by sleeping in, writing, watching some TV series that I missed during the week, sketching some stuffs that I feel like. It’s usually indoor activities and I still enjoyed my weekends very much. But, these are just something more interesting things to do if you have time in your hand. Just like always, I would share them on my blog, maybe it could give you some ideas to spend your weekends.
It is always nice to add some cardio into the week. I like to stay active, and exercise at least 3 times a week. But, if you’ve had a busy week, this is your chance to get your blood rushing and your body sweating. I would go cycling every opportunity I get. Cycle around your neighborhood, you’ll get some fresh air with an outdoor view while, working out. I personally prefer outdoor workout then go to the gym, it is more enjoying with a new kind of atmosphere then staying in a room running in one place. Don’t get me wrong, gym is a great place that will give you great motivation in your workout but, here and there, try something different.
You don’t have to be a professional artist to paint, just grab a bunch of your favorites color and brush away. It will help you de-stress and get your mind off things. It’s very therapeutic, to be honest. I enjoy it very much. I just like to let to lose and let my creativity flows. You could just sit there and mix in your favorite colors on the canvas to create something unique. And, plus it could also be a really nice décor for your house. It’s a win win situation here.
- Picnic (on the beach/park)
This for those of you out there who enjoy outdoor activities. I love love love the beach and I love love love picnics. And, even better when you combine the two. Just pack some sandwiches, some snacks, a salad, maybe a bottle of champagne or cocktails if you feel like it. Lay out a blanket, enjoy the meal with a beautiful view and fresh salty air. Don’t even let me get started on how exquisite beaches are. I just love it so much.
Going out for a drive is always a fun thing to do and at the same time you could also be exploring new places, new restaurants, new parks, etc. that you have never been to. Laid out a map (or go on your phone) and find some cool places to go see. You could also be doing something touristic and go sight-seeing or something. I love doing it very much, especially during the evenings and late nights. It’s just the best time to go out for a drive! Late night drives are always great because it’s all cold and dark with less traffics as well. Bring a blanket with you, if you want and get cozied up in your car. Plus, you don’t have to worry about not getting enough sleep, you can just drive all night and sleep in a little the next day. Best thing ever!
- Pamper Day / Me Day
I like to do this at least once or twice a week, it doesn’t necessarily have to be on weekends, sometimes I will do it mid-week or when I have a very stressful day. Light some candles then run a warm bath with some bath bombs or bath salts whichever I feel like. It’s also a great time to put on a hair mask and face mask. Leave it on and relax. I think I said it on my previous post but, let me know if you’d like to see a whole post dedicated towards my pampering routine.
- Meet up
This time of the week is a great opportunity to meet up with some old friends, families or maybe just make a date or spend it as a girls’ day. Make some plans for the weekend to meet some people that I don’t get to meet often, and have some fun. It could be lunch, dinner, movies, book a manicure and pedicure appointment, spa day, the list could go on and on with some fun things that you can do with your friends.
- Late night movies
Just like late night drives, I love late night movies. Sometimes, I might not want to go out, make some great snacks and put on my favorite movie/TV show. It is an opportunity for you to catch up with the shows that you missed during the week.
I think this is the least interesting one to share. But, playing games is something that I like to reward myself after a long busy week. I enjoy playing online games or/and just Mario Kart. It is something that I use to de-stress and clear myself with something enjoyable.
I hope you got some ideas and plan a lovely weekend!
Lots of Love,
