Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018

2017 has come to an end, this year really just swift by. This year was a busy year for me, graduating high school, preparing for college, starting this blog, it was quiet a hectic year but I’m really happy with what I’ve accomplished so far. Although, 2017 flew by; there are so many great experience that I’ve received throughout the year. However, I’m really excited to see what 2018 has in store for me.

I’m not a huge believer in New Year’s resolution, because we all know I will break them by the end of January. Instead, these are a few goals that I’ve set for myself. There isn’t going to be any dramatic changes but, just something that will keep me going.ca821911-5e57-468b-b2e6-5facc48e606d Photography by Ren (my friend) on May 2017

  1. Time Management

College starts in January, I’ve dedicated so much of my time onto writing and sharing these post with you. There’s a lot of planning, writing and photography work that I have to do for this blog. However, I still want to be able to focus just as much on school work as I do for this blog. Time management is going to be an issue for me, if I’m trying to maintain both while keeping them up to standards. But, it is something I’d like to work on.

2. Be Organize

With all of the working and planning that I will have to do, it is important for me to be organized with my entire schedule. I’m hoping to get better at it and plan everything ahead!

3. Stay healthy

This is something that I’ve worked on for years. I want to continue to take care both of my physical and mental health, with regular exercises, detoxing days and keeping up a healthy lifestyle.

4. Eat clean

As you may know, I’ve changed my diet into plant based. I do find it quite hard sometimes, but I tried my best to eat as clean as possible. It is very important to know what I’m putting inside my body.

5. Blogging

Of course, like I’ve mentioned, I still want to continue with blogging. It is something that I love and enjoy so, I’m looking forward to see where it will takes me.

6. Writing

I do write for my blog, but I also enjoy poetry writing and fictional writing. However, due to my tight schedule I’m not able to do it often. So, in the future I’m hoping to have more time to enjoy writing for myself.

7. Give time for improvement

This is probably something I’m looking forward to the most, we all grow and changes through time. A year from now, I know that I won’t be same, I know that because a year ago I was a different person. With time and everything that evolves around us, will change the way that we, the way you look at things and the way that we do things. I hope to see changes and improvement in both my work and studies but, also to grow as a person.

8. Surround myself with positive vibes

I’ve talked about this in my Living A Healthy Lifestyle post, but surrounding yourself with the right people is very important if you want to continue to grow and learn. This is also something that I’ve been trying to maintain, some people are just not worth your energy. So, it’s better to just let it go. Instead, I want to focus on spreading kindness, love, happiness and peace towards my surrounding.

9. Spend more time offline

In this day and age, social media became such a huge part of our daily lives that sometimes, we forget to appreciate the nature and the outdoor life. This New Year I’m hoping to spend more time outside in the nature and appreciate my surrounding. I have nothing against taking photos and keeping them as memories but, there are times when we only do it for the social media.

10. Create more quality time

Sometimes, with the entire busy schedule I tend to forget to spend quality time with my family and friends. So, this New Year I’m hoping to clear out some space for them.

11. Plan more adventure/trip

As a wanderlust soul like I am, I’m looking forward to going on more adventures and planning more trips. I’d love to create more memorable moments in my life with my loved ones. And, it is always rewarding to be able to explore difference places in this beautiful world. Whether it’s only a 2 hours’ drive away or a 20 hours flight, it will all be just as fun. A city I’ve never been to or an incredible nature view, I will appreciate them all.

12. Focus on the future as well as the present

With all the goals that I want to achieve and all the planning that I do for the future, I wish to cherish the present more, like the saying Carpe Diem is to live in the moment. I want to enjoy life as what is given to me and appreciate every single moment of my life by making the most out of everything because, sometimes it’s the little things that matters most.

Those are the goals that I’m planning to accomplish in the upcoming New Year but, of course, you will be the first one to know throughout this new journey ahead!

Lots of love,

Kim Stacey
